Businesses we understand. Situations where we can help.
We focus on established companies where our operating experience, capital and network can be useful in the next stage of growth.
Knowledge and services
Software, compliance and regulated services, professional and business services, and other companies where expertise is central to the product. We are particularly interested in businesses where growth requires better systems, stronger commercial capabilities, additional management depth or more efficient ways to deliver high-quality work.
Consumer and physical goods
Food and beverage, branded consumer and outdoor products, consumer manufacturing, specialty retail and direct-to-consumer businesses. We understand the importance of brand, unit economics, supply chain discipline, consistent customer experience and the operating complexity that comes with growth across products, channels and locations.
What we look for
- $1 million or more in annual EBITDA
- A history of profitability and a proven business model
- Strong brand equity, reputation or expertise within a defined market
- Recurring, re-occurring or otherwise durable customer demand
- A diversified customer base or a clear path toward greater diversification
- A capable management team and/or founder who wants a partner for the next stage
- Opportunities to create value through growth, operational improvement, technology, capital investment or M&A
How we invest
- Flexible structures Because we invest our own capital, we can structure each transaction around the needs and preferences of the founders and management team rather than around a single fund mandate.
- Additional capital when it makes sense We have long-standing relationships with co-investors who can provide additional capital for larger transactions and future growth.
- Selective by design We intend to own a relatively small number of businesses so our partners can spend meaningful time with each company.
- Long-term orientation We are focused on building durable value and have flexibility around how long that takes.
What matters most
Industry fit and financial criteria matter, but partnership fit matters too. We look for businesses we can understand, people we respect and situations where our experience can genuinely add something to the equation.
